Editor and reporter at NPR, Sevilla


Miguel Macias is a journalist based in Seville, where he regularly works for NPR as an editor and reporter. Before returning to his home country, Miguel spent over two decades working in the U.S. In Washington, Miguel has been a senior producer for NPR’s All Things Considered. Prior to that, Miguel was a Senior Producer and Supervisor of Latino USA in New York. Previously, Miguel was a tenured professor at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, where he taught radio production and journalism for a decade. Miguel has worked as a producer for American Public Media, as Director of the Marketplace Morning Report, and as an Associate Producer for WNYC’s Radio Rookies. Miguel is also proud to have volunteered for the NGO MADRE, training reporters in Peru, youth in Colombia, and activists in Nicaragua.
