Director of Music at Prisa Media

Vicent Argudo (Alcoy, 1979) is currently the Director of Music at Prisa Media. Argudo holds a degree in Journalism from the Cardenal Herrera CEU University in Valencia, a Master’s in Radio Management and Business Administration from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, and is a fellow of the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program at Columbia University, New York.

He began his career in local journalism, working for Radio Alcoy-Cadena SER. In 2004, he co-founded Spain’s first online music radio station, scannerFM. This indie music radio station was awarded an Ondas Prize in 2005 for the best informational treatment for its coverage of the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.

From 2006 to 2015, he served as Chief Digital Officer at PRISA Radio Spain, leading the digital strategy for music media such as los40.com. In 2008, he spearheaded a major relaunch of this website, offering a catalog of over four million songs, nearly 10,000 music videos, and one of the first social networks in Spain. Years later, with the rise of new platforms, he led the adoption of social media as a natural communication channel between the radio and its listeners, and created the first mobile applications for PRISA’s music radio stations.

In 2015, he was the Transformation Manager at Grupo RPP in Peru, the leading radio group in the country, where he implemented digital development strategies in the music sector and created the first music awards gala in Peru, the Premios La Zona. In 2018, he returned to Spain to lead the music stations of Cadena SER, and that same year, he also took on the digital direction of PRISA Radio until 2021.
